Festival booth: what permits do you need?
Usually the festival organizer holds the main event permit and you operate under it, but you still need vendor paperwork, insurance naming the organizer and your own food permits.
Not legal advice. Confirm with the city. Requirements, fees and lead times change and vary by location and by the exact activity. Always confirm with the issuing agency before you rely on anything here.
What to watch for
- The organizer's permit does not always cover your food sampling.
- Organizers almost always require a COI naming them as additional insured.
- Deadlines for vendor paperwork are often earlier than the city's.

Insurance
Venues, landlords and cities usually want a certificate of insurance naming them as additional insured. Clearpop collects and checks those for every vendor on your project.
